RHEL 5 machine hangs
helo
I am having difficulties in figuring out what is happening to my system...the system was working fine till last sunday...on sunday when i tried to SSH using putty i could not and when I went into the server room it was stuck...so i had to restart from the power button...it was working fine. the last time i checked was after 8 hours...so i thought it was ok now...but in morning again the same problem... for the last 3 days...any idea?

Share the log files for better clearance (messages and dmesg). If any recent changes happened, post that also.

Well, you're getting slaughtered by "snmpd[3490]: Connection from UDP: [192.168.1.1]:62426" type msgs, probably filling your disk up.
I'd start with finding out what that is caused by and fixing it.

today also the server is not responding...hang...but it was working fine till i slept
and now i have to restart from power button...
i am running oracle 11g and mcafee on the system...
how about this line below which i could not get an answer by searching the internet...could this be the problem?

nailsd-s4=> Check the syslog and message log.
=> check the memory and I/O ,command is "sar -B"
2 Question--
(1) What is the memory size and how many CPU
(2) Have you upgraded the kernel few days back or change the kernel.

we never had any update for the past 5 months.
attached find the logs you have requested.
and what do u mean by syslog. I have attached the messages and dmesg file logs too.
