RHEL 5.4 with Public IP address
Hi Team,
In our company we are going to assign one Public IP to one of our local server (RHEL 5.4) for mms testing purpose ( software team need this requirement ), in this case how can i restrict our lan because server having 2 connection (eth0, eth1) one is connected our network one is public. Please let me know best server hardening tips and closing unwanted ports etc.. Warm Regards Abdul |

If no incoming Public cxn needs access to the LAN, ensure the iptables FORWARD policy for the Public interface is DROP.
