RHCSA exam

I am appearing for RHCSA exam next week. I want to ask a simple question. CAN I DELETE FIREWALL RULE in RHCSA exam.

# service iptables stop
# iptables -F
# service iptables save

Any tips/suggestion for RHCSA exam would be really appreciated.

Thanks

@linuxmantra

It all depends on exam requirement. It is not about if you can do that or not, it is about whether it is required in the exam or not. So my suggestion would be Read the exam objectives / guidelines carefully before jumping in.

All the best for your exam.

-F is a flush, there's nothing to 'save' after doing so.

Code:

-F, --flush [chain]
              Flush the selected chain (all the chains in the table if none is given).  This is equivalent to delet‐
              ing all the rules one by one.

Habitual,

I think what he is trying to say is that if there are already some rules in that case whether he can flush the rules and save the blank iptables and continue with the exam.

As I said it depends on exam requirement. It is not something whether you can or cannot do.
