I notice at boot up that it states my IDE speed is 33 but since it is 100 how can I increase that number to at least 66? Thank you... Van

Excellent

Excellent links... thank you... got it fixed; but now another question ... I had to log on as ROOT to make the changes... can I not edit those files in RHat as a USER. Mandrake would just ask for the root pw... thank you... Van
