Rh9 Usb Modem

I have a U.S. Robotics external 56K modem connected by usb to my computer. It was autodected and configured but I am unable to connecet to it. Has anyone had a simular problem? This same modem works just fine on another computer running RH7. Thanks for any suggestions.

did you install the neccessary driver for your modem?
what's it's chipset?
go to www.linmodem.org and use a script to help you determine what you need.

Thanks for the reply. The modem is a U.S. Robotics model # 0525. It is listed as a supported device. The modem is showing in the "info center" under usb devices: u.s. robotics 56K modem... usb ohcl root hub (1)" Now for a truely newbie question... How do I find out if I have a driver installed? I assumed that since it was dectected and worked under RH7 (the driver must have come with the distro) that it would do the same with RH9.

most of the time. the distur. don't really comes with the mdoem driver. you ahve to install it yourself by hand.
Go to www.linmodem.org and find your driver for your modem.
