RH9 Theme installer not working...

I downloaded the themes from and from the kde 3.1 section because that's what I use. The readmes all say use the theme installer from the control panel. I go there, click on install theme, pick the zipped file, hit ok, click install and I guess supposedly the name and description of the theme should appear with the others. But it doesn't. I've tried 4 different themes, all with same install instructions and they don't work. I tried exiting theme installer and reopening. The directions give no other way to isntall the theme so obviously I'm stuck, I mean I'm a noob, heh
