RH9 "remounting root filesystem in read-write mode"

Hello,

I have just installed Red Hat 9.0. It appears that the installation completed successfully but upon rebooting, the system hangs at "remounting root filesystem in read-write mode".

I reinstalled and encountered the same problem. All three installation disk passed the mediacheck.

Any ideas?

How much time did you wait for feedback?

Was the HD light on or off?

Hello,

The hard drive light is not on and I waited about 2 minutes.

Oh, and I should mention after waiting about 2 minutes, the computer appears to be locked up. It does not respond to ctrl-alt-del or the power button on the front of the computer.
