Unhappy RH9 installation dies abruptly on big hard disk

Trying to install to RH9, (bought installtion CDs from redhat site) and installing on 2nd hard disk. (Xp in first hard disk). 2nd hard disk is 160Gb Maxtor.

Is there any problem installing on large hard disks?

What I did until now.........
Installtion starts (gui mode or text mode) and tried many times to install. On 160 GB, first 2 partitions are on Windows and rest free space for linux. It fails while installing the rpms... (chosen the minimum < 500MB) option.

Tried deleting all partion on 160Gb and starting from I partition on the disk... no luck

Thanks for any information.

NOTE:: I have installed successfully previous version of RH on smaller Hard disks in different machine long time ago.

Most installation issues like this are due to bad cd rom drives. Try again with a different CD drive.
