RH9 and alternative Window Managers

Hi all,

I just downloaded and installed (or at least I think I did--newbie), the Sawfish windows manager. I am having trouble determining what I have to modify to:

a) Let Sawfish be one of the options from the Graphical Login screen like KDE and GNOME are.
b) actually launch Sawfish (makybe taken care of by (a))

I am using RedHat9.

BTW, also when I went to install the programs required for Sawfish, I downloaded the .tar.gz files to a directory under my /home/plehman directory. I then created another directory under /home/plehman to unzip the archives to, and then went through the ./configure, make, make install process. My question is, how can I be sure where the libraries and Sawfish were actually installed. Can I delete the directories from under my /home/plehman directory without issues?

yeah as you installed it from source it won't have distro specific entries there for menu's etc...

go to /etc/X11 and you'll have a directory in there called wmsession.d or Sessions or something along those lines. in there there will be a file for each registered. all you should need to do is copy the file to one for swordfish and change the entries accordingly. then xdm / kdm / gdm *should* add it to the list.
