RH8.0 - Can not reach the internet

Loading RH8.0 - Do not see internet ( post #1)

Hi, Need help! I am running RH7.2 on a P2 box, (Dell OptiPlex GX1) 192MB, 10Gig HD, 2 NIC's, with a DSL Static IP connection. I have the firewall set up on it and it is working great. I have 2 laptops that I have tied into the server via a hub. This version is working great. I now have RH8.0 (Came with RH80 Bible) and I have an extra 30 Gig HD that I replaced the above HD with. Did not want to trash a working RH7.2. The program installed perfectly and I can ping the Internet NIC card, but I can not get to the Internet. I looked in the /etc/resolve.conf and my nameserver has that ISP's 3 DNS server locations listed. I know that this has to be an easy fix, but since I do not have the expertise, I have no clue as to what file needs to be looked at or updated.

This isn't a answer but why did you edit your other thread to let people know to look at this one when its the same exact question ?? If you want to bump your thread back to the top after about a day or longer, just reply to the original, don't create new threads though. Thanks.
