RH7.3 install on existing RAID0 array

Iam trying to install RH7.3 on my XP system which is on a RAID0 array. The array controller is the HPT370 resident on a KT7A-RAID motherboard. Tried all internet-posted gyrations to install and am having no luck. It looks like the HPT370 needs a bios upgrade to 2.1 which I can't do because DOS doesn't recognize the hard drive array, and the install utility runs from DOS. I am fairly well versed in comp's but am new to Linux. Can ne1 help?

I figured this procedure out eventually. The key is to have the Highpoint RAID controller rev'ed up to the latest in order to use the drivers for the LInux distibution you are installing. The BIOS and drivers are found on the Highpoint site, but if you have an Award modular BIOS with an onboard RAID controller you must use a utility called CBROM to add the RAID Bios to the AWARD BIOS file and flash the motherboard BIOS with it (thus flashing the RAID BIOS at the same time). Once the RAID BIOS is flashed up use the instructions that come with the Highpoint drivers to install Linux. Not the simplest prcedure in the world but after a week and a half I am successfully dual booting using Powerquest BootMagic between Linux RH7.3 and Windows XP.
