RH 8 : installed, but confused

hi!
I just installed RH 8. I can log in well, I can open some programs well, and Windows 98 still works well (dual boot). But.. I'm confused for some things :

1. don't laugh.. where do you guys type those commands.. ? I can't find any place to type it.. help? what's that called? command console?

2. I have pentium 4, 256 MB RAM. But I'm confused, I tried TuxRacer, but it's very very slow.. I thought mine should be pretty fast. Is it because of the graphic and sound card? (I use creative sb live!) I can't figure the installation for it (still searching for some docs)

that's all for now, help.. thank you =D

I usually use an x terminal, myself. If I have eterm installed, I use it. Otherwise, use any program with "terminal" in it's name. You should have gnome-terminal installed if you are running gnome.

What is your video card? You may need a driver set up properly for it.
