RH 7.2 gui ??'s


all... i have set up a server wtih RH7.2.. i installed kde and gnome.. i cannot switch between the 2 gui's.. i choose gnome but kde keeps coming up.. how do i control this..

also.. what other gui can i use that is less of a resource hog??

how are you switching between the gui's ?? what command are you using ?

also, less resource hog.. try windowmaker, blackbox, xfce.. and there are many others..

i use xdm,kdm,gdm.. i get to each of their own login screens..then after login it runs gnome... and i have another box that i use so i know what the other gui's look like.. it definitely runs gnome after the logins... weird...

I would suggest using Gnome its alot color than KDM.

Where can I find Blackbox and install docs..

blackbox sounds like what i am looking for.. .i searched a few sites.. found this one.. http://blackbox.alug.org/.. is this the main site?? al of their links go to bb.themes.org.. it doesnt make sense unless this site is dead.. does anyone have another to go to..

The top link in my post is the link to the blackbox site, you might want to try fluxbox, it's an improved version of blackbox.

ok i have 0.61 installed.. i read the readmes.. checked out sourceforge but i still have not been able to find support docs.. how do i get into it now.. can i just upgrade to fluxbox or do i have to uninstall blackbox first??
