return (about partition table)

Thanks for the lights Acid Kewpie , actually i am at work now and do not
have all the information you asked , but i know about my partition table .
I have created a primary one for win98 (5Gb) and a logical(15Gb) where i created four more fat32 of 3Gb each and a swap , root and homefor linux. The partition i am interested (MP3) is the first (FAT 32)on the logical .How can i create an acess to my workspace so i can reach it anytime i want and play it ? Can i do that on the terminal ? sorry about the extent of the nonsense but i am new not just at linux but to any computer OS (just bought my computer 5 months ago ) so i decided to choose linux rather than windows (i might be ignorant but im not stupid )and i am not a bit sorry . I will return with information as soon as possible .
~~ If you don`t mean what you say you never say what you mean~~

right?

PEACE

I don't know where you're original thread went, but can you always reply to that, rather than starting a new thread, as things get messy, unless you believe it's different enough to validate a new thread...

3gb for MP3's?? not nearly enough! my 40gb drive is getting full....

'an access to your workspace'? you just mean how can you get to the partition from linux, X or whatever...? :-S

well, installing linux will recognise all the partitions on your system, whatever their type, and mount them appropriatly, such as /mnt/windows or something,it'll be in /etc/fstab... assuming that's what you mean...

to play them in linux, use mpg123, or under X there's xmms (winamp clone), freeamp etc...

you should be aware that you'll get annoyed by having your MP3's on a fat32 when using linux, unless you set everythign to override file permissions and such. my 40gb mp3 drive if fat32, as i sometimes run it under windows, and connecting to it over networks sucks.
