Resumeing a download

I was downloading with Konqueror and I noticed that if I cancelled it I could resume later and it would pick up right where I left off!! :-)..

My Question is, can anyone tell me if I can set up Galeon or better yet Mozilla to download in the same fashion as Konqueror?, being 56K I very much like the idea of a built in download manager :-)..

Thanks for any help in advance..:)

dont know if this is of any help but have you ever tried
downloader for X.....it resumes broken downloads & works
very smoothly.....

w-get will also, but neither one of these (AFAIK) are integrated into Galeon or Mozilla.

Thanks for your reply's, one problem I'm haveing is that I have no idea of what dowloader for x or w-get is? I'm assumeing they are some sort of download managers but where would I find them? Might I have them or one of them with my Mandrake 8.2 already?

I'm checking out MasterC's getting started link, perhaps I'll find something there :-)..

Thanks again :-)...

you can always set up wget (no hypen) as an external downloader in galeon prefernces. make sure you specify the -c flag for it and it will dcontinue downloading from where it left off. it's not a download manager, just an erm.. "getter" ? :D and it's very very good at it. does exactly what it says on the manpage

OK so I went into Galeons Preferences, Handlers then downloading.
I then changed the downloader to use command wich looks like this

wget -N -c %s

Is this right? I've noticed that it does pick up where it left of but it does not show it's progress :-(. Unless of course I refreash the folder that I'm dowloading it into and check file size, but of course this is kinda lame :-(..

Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong if anything? thanks again..

Ohhhhhhhhh If I choose run in terminal I can see it's progress :-)...
Hmmmm K.. now how do I stop this thing? LOL...
