Restore packages

Yesterday I updated my Fedora Core 2 using Up2date. One of these updates was GNOME 2.6.

Nice surprise when I restart my computer and after I logon, GNOME can't access to the ADMINISTRATOR DAEMON TOOL OF GNOME. I was reading on Internet, and... it seems some files still having problems in this GNOME release.

I want to bring back my original GNOME files. How can I do it? I was looking on the Installed Aplications Utility of Fedora, but... there is nothing to restore my original rpms.

THankz!

Hmm.. not really. There's no "easy fix" that I can suggest.

You could remove GNOME and install it off your FC2 cds.

try this:
Code:
rpm -q *gnome*
this will return every package installed with gnome
the actual gnome distro, remove it using
Code:
rpm -e PACKAGE_NAME
then, reinstall from your cd
Code:
rpm -i PACKAGE_NAME
