Hi imran,

Welcome to LQ!

CIFS is a file system. I think you mean the samba service. What are you trying to do exactly?

Hi,

There is a windows share setup on linux box via the cif file and cif file has the following contents:

backup -fstype=cifs,rw,uid=504,gid=503,credentials=/etc/backup_credentials ://server/Backup

where //server/backup is a windows share
/etc/backup_credentials is a file contains credentials

currently we are seeing the following error:

DISK CRITICAL - /mnt/backup/backup is not accessible: No such device or address
