Resolution Problems After ATI Driver Update.

I installed successfully the ATI Proprietary Driver. I was trying to get 3D capabilities out of my x800 card. Since I have done this I have messed up resoulution issues. My resoulution defaults to 2048 x 1536. When I reset it to 1024 x 768 by "configure desktop", the font size is way too huge. I am using Suse 10.0. I have tried to enter Sax2 through Yast2 in order to correct this, but Sax2 will no longer open up for me to adjust anything. Does anyone know where I would start to correct this? I would like to have 1024 x 768 with normal font size.

Try editing the xorg configuration file manually. It's located in /etc/X11/ should be xorg.conf or something.

I will have a try with that. Also, I have a copy of "How To..." regarding ATI Driver install from Suse website, it states that the fglrx kernel module will have to be recompiled. I believe that that is in order for Sax2 to work again. How does one go about recompiling the fglrx kernel?

An update so far...I have managed to get my system back to where it was by running Sax2 from console. I however am back exactly where I was before I attempted this thing. Still no 3D support. Any help is appreciated.
