Resolution cap?

Does Mandrake 8.1 have a resolution cap? It's running at 1280x1024 right now, and wont let me go any higher. I'd really like to get it up to 1600x1200 @ 24-bit. I've installed the latest drivers and that didnt help any... still says 1280x1024 is max. Im runnin a PNY Verto GF3 right now.

1600x1200, wow. You must have a 40 inch monitor or really good eyes. I have a 21 inch Sony Trinitron and would never pass 1024x768. As for your problem, Sorry, I can't help. The highest i've seen it is 1600x1200....
