Resizing the windows partition
Hello again, I want to install red hat linux on my laptop, but i dont want do totally delete windows. I was wondering how i could shrink my windows partition so i have enough room to duel boot. Please help me.
Thank you in advanced |
If you have Partition Magic you can resize the partition using that. If you don't have PM, download and burn to cd a small distro named Gparted liveCD (home page http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php).
Read the documentation on Gparted before using it. Make sure you understand how to resize one partition and how to create another in the free space to be used by Red Hat. |

Before you resize, disable the Windows page file, reboot, then defragment.
