Resizing swap partition...

Hi
When i was installing mandrake wasnt sure how much swap partition was ok.. so I made it too big :( can I resize it after everything is installed? or do I have to install all again?.
Thanks

I have NO idea about mandrake's DiskDrake capabilities, but all I can think of is Partition Magic. Shrink it and allocate the new space to your ext2 part.

Don't mention Z's here.

To taz.devil: On a personal note, I know we can't close our eyes to the truth warez/0-dayz/scriptz/other Z's exist.
My concern here being the integrity of this board to it's members and visitors, and to the cause of Linux Advocacy in general, I would like people to not go into mentioning the "alternative solution" to buying software.

Linux and warez should not be linked in one post like this.

as long as double standards don't creep in for the mods!

trickykid: "of course now i have my illegal copy of office 2000..." :)

anyway....

How big is the partition that you made? You should be fine getting away using diskdrake to resize it, but what to do with the space you've freed up? i'd not recommend resizing your / too risky, it may be big enough to turn into /home or somwthing like that.

Point taken unSpawn. Very interesting point by a_k also...Since i'm NOT a moderator, there's nothing I can say and will respect the board policy.
