Resizing linux partition

I have Linux and windows xp on my machine and I was wondering if i could use Partition magic to resize the linux partiition so it would be a little bit smaller and not mess up my computer.

Yes, Partition Magic 8 can recognize and resize ext2 and ext3 partions, as well as NTFS. Don't know about reiserfs file system.
