resize raid in Ubuntu

I have ubuntu 8.04, i have the following raids: Raid 1 for boot 125 mb, raid 1 for swap 2 gb, raid 5 for system 10 gb and the rest is raid 5 985 gb for data. today i tryed to update to 8.10 to then update to the newest version and it told me that my boot does not have enough i am trying to resiseze the raid without any success..I would appreciate any help in how can i do this...thanks
