repofile

Hello iam making an local repository.
Got everything figured out but in my yum repolist i get an error.
cant open file.

repofolder has a few packages which i turned into a repository by using createrepo.

After that i made an repofile looking like this.

[repel]
name=epel repository
baseurl=file:///data/repel/repodata/repomd.xml
enabled=1
gpgcheck=o

What am i missing here?

OK, let's start from the beginning and work through this in a coherent manner. You say "i get an error", please provide a clear problem description and include the exact error messages you are getting, along with exactly what you have done step by step, up until this point you've gotten to.

The first problem I see I've highlighted and underlined in bold for you, that should be a zero, not an "o".

Please also use CODE tags when posting output from configuration files or commands run. If you are not sure how to use CODE tags, see my signature below.

To add to the comments by user jsbjsb001, as far as I know the baseurl refers to a directory, not a file. Thus the name: This is the basis of other URLs, which are formed by concatenating other strings to the baseurl. See also https://access.redhat.com/documentat...m_repositories.

Try again after removing the /repomd.xml part. If this doesn't work, provide more details how you set up the repo.
