Replacing Forti SSL VPN client

In Windows, I was using Forti Client as VPN client to connect to the network of my job. Now, I'm on Slackware 14.1 and I'm asking to myself which software could replace Forti Client.

Any suggestion?

Well the best bet would see what the IT guys use as a serveandr and also to find out what protocols they use. After that you can scout. Forti net appears to me like a propriety solution so maybe you can get stuck between a rock and a hard place.

On many linux systems, vpn can be configured by importing the security certificates and user details to network manager. This is where the issue comes in. If you can get your hands on the security certs, it could work, but does the server software they use only export via the executable from fortinet or can you get that stuff seperately? Would your IT department actually provide you with the certs?

I know in my case, when students come and ask for a package to do x in MACos I always tell them to bugger off. Not because i don't want them to do things, but many of them don't know how to and I don't have time to sort out their sillyness. So the hard part will be getting the info from the IT department.
