repeated: blue screen after grub

im sorry if this topics been repeated but i just couldnt find my answers . someone help me out fast! here is the situation in brief!
1. i have a 160 gb hdd. windows xp without service pack 1 does not have 48-bit LBA enabled and so it can recognize only 137 gb when it should actually recognize 152 gb by industry standards for a 160 gb.
2. for obvious reasons i could not upgrade to XP with SP1.
3. i decide to use up the 137 gb for windows and the remaining 15 gb was recongnized when i was in the installation process of FC3. i was thrilled. it therfore is installed on that 15 gb which windows did not recognize.
4. grub was also installed as the bootloader.

now when i get the boot menu and i choose 'other' to boot into win xp i get the blue screen.

here are the boot arguments: ( is that what they are called? i got them by hitting "e" on the selected operating sys at the boot menu):

fedora core 3:
root(hd0,2)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img

other (win xp):
rootnoverify(hd0,0)
chainloader +1

suspect anything fishy? can someone help me out here

I think you should add 'makeactive' line after 'rootnoverify(hd0,0)'.
