removing mysql

hey guys

i am trying to uninstall my mysql which was installed previously with the fedora installation.

i tracked the packages using the command:
rpm -qa | grep -i mysql

and i am removing using the following command:
rpm -e mysql-3.23.58-13

and when run an error msg is displayed saying Failed dependencies: is that....

can anyone help me remove these ....

Sometimes you can simply do a:

rpm -e mysql

This should knock out all the mysql items, including direct dependancies. It depends on how rpm is set up/compiled, but if that doesn't work, all you have to do is:

rpm -e libmysqlclient

or similar.
