removing desktop icons in GDM
Hi everyone,
I'm new to linux and I'm running Red Hat 9.0. I had 7.3 on for several days until several friends told me that they actually prefer 9.0 over 7.3. Everything is working great so far, been reading and learning a lot  Anyhow, I am using GNOME and there are still 2 icons on my desktop that I was not able to get rid of. 1) ...'s Home 2) Trash I've deleted these files as root under /home/.../.gnome-desktop/ they both dissappeared, but whenever I logged out or back in, they re-appeared again. I assume it has some kind of "autostart", tho I was only able to find the Autostart files for KDE. Does anyone know how I could permanently remove these 2 icons off my desktop? Thanks a lot guys!! AND THIS FORUM ROCKS! |
