Red face removed auto.net*


hey, im a noob and decided to learn my first lesson of "Do not play in su mode" I took a tip from someone and deleted the etc/auto.net* I was trying to fix the hangup on my system. Repercussions for this? by the way, I just have a dual-boot with xp and am using Mandrake 9.0

This file is used by autofs that is a daemon which automatically mounts filesystems when you use them, and unmounts them later when you are not using them. Probably it won't mount the network places automatically anymore without it ...

Thanks for the response, and hopefully I can still manually unmount network places.

Besides my own stupidity, Mandrake is the most stable OS I have ever used.....i am glad I converted.
