Remove RH 9.0 - and then install SuSE 8.2

hi, i have on my computer Win XP & Linux RedHat 9.0 .
i want to install now SuSE 8.2 (from FTP install), and keep the Win XP as is. i want to know how can i Uninstall\Remove the RH 9.0 , without effecting the XP.
some more question - do i need to do some: fdisk /mbr from DOS ? or the installation of SuSE will do it by itself when installing?
or... maybe while installing the SuSE i can remove the RH too? does it removes the SWAP space too?
i know that the installation downloads SuSE from FTP server, so i dunno what will happen after it and what i will be able to do.
thx.

Usually you can just go over your Rehat Install, it shouldn't need removing first.

Also if your /home is on a seprate partition you can keep that and keep anyfiles you have from RedHat.

Suse should be able to (and probably will) install a new bootloader, Windows should no nothing about it.

Par4n0iA,

Yes, you can remove Red Hat when ftp-installing Suse. If you have just a linux partition (the Red Hat partition) and a swap partition, Suse will automatically take over it, format and mount it for installation. If you have more than one linux partition, you can choose custom partitioning and select the partition you want to install Suse on. Good luck.
