remove or calm down window effects/transmissions in KNOPPIX

The super slow and fancy window transitions and effect are driving me crazy. Does anyone know how to get to effects customizations?

How about volume mixer and level (100% is only about 20%).

Thanks!

Hi,

Clam down, there are others that need assistance. Not everyone will respond with demands for assistance.

You can use the install to 'RAM' option for KNOPPIX. It will speed things up a bit but you need to remember that things are slow when operation is from the CD/DVD.

Just a few links to aid you;

Linux Documentation Project
Rute Tutorial & Exposition
Linux Command Guide
Utimate Linux Newbie Guide
LinuxSelfHelp
Getting Started with Linux
Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide
Linux Home Networking

The above links and others can be found at 'Slackware-Links'. More than just SlackwareŽ links!
