Remote support program
Is there a "GoToMyPC" type program for Linux to allow me to connect to a user's screen and keyboard?
I've seen something for Unix, but it was a few years ago and I can't remember what is was, or even if it was part of the OS, or an add-on program. I support users, mostly Windows using the Citrix products. Now we are getting involved with Linux and I see the need to be able to connect to a user's session to see what he sees and be able to use the keyboard. |

teamviewer ssh with X tunneling vnc and theres probably others.

ssh with X tunneling doesn't solve his problem, he wants to see/control other user's session, not open a new one.

ah true the other 2 are valid though :) also KVM switches as a hardware solution..maybe what he meant by the addon bit?

Some commercial products like hamachi (logmein) and 2x.com's stuff.
Also freenx and the other nx's. Some chat software may work. Two issues really. One is how to make a secure connection and the other is the remote desktop part. Some apps have both while others need two parts to work securely. A web page with some review. http://www.techradar.com/news/softwa...clients-716346 |
