Remote Input Forwarding

I have a box running ubuntu with a nice big 32" screen on it. The box is hidden, and I don't really want any input devices connected to it. Does anyone know of a way to use my laptop (also running ubuntu) to forward input to it. I would simply like to pass my keyboard and mouse input to an open session on the other computer, and see that on the screen. Thanks in advance.
