No, it wouldn't because the remote machine won't allow new programs to be installed, not to mention the POS software devs would have to approve it anyways. Upon further inspection, there is only one partition that I have administrator access to & that partition does not hold the program files. Oh well. I will leave this thread open, (at the respectable discretion of the forum admins of course) because I would still think it would be cool to execute a command from a terminal sans SSH as just a neat Linux challenge. I'm playing around at home but no success as of yet. If anyone does pull off this wonder, they can have the credit of solving the thread at least!
