remote desktop tool ( no xwindows )


I would like to remove access a linux server over internet , but my linux do not have xwindows , is there any tool can do it ?

I know redhat have vnc , dose it require xwindows to run ?

So good old ssh is not enough ?

NO GUI/display manager installed on the server .

Just want to have a tool running on linux to allow remote access over internet .

Use ssh, if you need the same session on both ends I use tmux.

Definitely ssh.

Since you will be coming in over the Internet, you'll have to make sure the proper routing is in place (port forwarding, etc., ...) as well as make sure you use ssh securely.
