remote desktop between 2 linux pcs
Hi
I have 2 ubuntu 7.10 PCs but only one monitor, how can I remote desktop onto one from the other? I can SSH through the terminal but I'm looking for a graphical tool so far rdesktop doesnt seem to work either way, connection is refused, but from what I've found on google rdesktop seems to be from lin-win not lin-lin Please advise me! Thanks |
rdesktop is an msrdp client, totally useless here. check out vnc or the closest thing to msrdp, freenx.

i have used vnc viewer by connecting redhat and ubuntu it works perfect, vnc viewer is just like net meeting but very advance and very secure.
|
well vnc is very very non-advanced when it comes to remote access. it just shows the screen, that's it. other things like nx use it just as one piece of a much more impressive jigsaw.

@Chris
vnc viewer has given a passwd so that the selected people can take the remote. i feel it very practical. |
a crude non integrated password mechanism is advanced??
