Remote Desktop Auto Login Problem

Coming from Windows, I'm trying to set up a system similiar to Remote Desktop Connection.

I have enabled Gnome Remote Desktop. But the problem is, it doesn't start as a global system service like in Windows. The user needs to be logged in so I can connect remotely.

I have enabled auto login, but this time that annoying Keyring pops up and doesn't allow login.

How can I solve this problem?

Linux has many possibilities, depending on who has what it needs. If you want to remotly connect to machine even where is no session running (no one is logged) then you can use vnc server for this. You did not mentioned which distribution you are using, if Ubuntu or like, install package "vnc4server". It need to be configured, so read manual.

hello, thanks for your answer eSelix.

I'm using Scientific Linux, a Red Hat clone.

I have also installed Tiger VNC before, which installed as a system service. But again Keyring showed up during an auto logged in session.

I have followed this guide and it seems to be working fine now. Thank you very much.
