Remote connect with laptop?

I am very much interested to know how can i connect a laptop with a remote system? what device / hard ware needed for it?

pls let me know at the earliest.

There are several ways to connect and what to do. If going lnux to linux I would connect over an ssh connection. But many other choices exist from a web to ftp interfaces. Then few choices to bring up remote desktop on local machine ranging from vnc to freenx to rdc. Just all depends on what you want to do.

If you're looking at mounting part of the first machine on the second, you might want to search for help with 'samba' or 'NFS.' If you are just looking to communicate between the two, there are innumerable protocols for doing so.
