Question remote assistance for linux ???

IN winxp ,there is remote acess assistant program that can be use for helping others in their's computer.like setting in front of their's pc.can do anything, install programs, fix some problems, run applications.

i am wondering about that is it possible and available for linux a program like it.

because of many problems faced during linux installation(drivers,config....etc)I can't handle and wish if someone can look at my pc directly and fix them.it would be VERY LOT OF EASIER to do.

mandrake 9.2
fed core 1
.....etc
have more problems

video 3d hw accelecrator
driver
sound
chipsets
network
usb
viewsonic p70f,p90f driver
usb floppy
.....uncountable errors....OH MY GODS
AM I REALLY GIVEN MYSELF TROBLE THAT I SHOULD BE AVOID.

remote assistant acess will be useful and pleased for expert like you to help me and newbies !!!!!

rdesktop, vnc, etc. as long as you can be sure the session is secure you are fine - we do this things all the time at work through VPN tunnels.
