Remedial Linux Tutorials?

The assistance here is excellent but I do not wanna cry for mommy every time I stub my toe so are there some online guides that give a comprehensive run down of basic Linux usage.

-basic commands

-How to hack root :)

-general overviews of how Linux differs from windows and mac os'.

For the record... I am kidding about the hack root thing but I am gravitating towards pen testing so an "abridged" guide to Linux would be a disservice. When I have my OS' installed properly I'll begin studying any material suggested to get me up to speed so I can swim instead of tread water. Z/Z

Very Nice...

Just from the brief title descriptions I can tell the material will be very interesting. I especially appreciate the Linux and Linux forum etiquette guidelines which I know from experience I am lacking... subtlety and discretion were never my strong suit :) Z/Z

I will suggest you also read the man pages.
Also find and download all the episodes of Chess Griffin's Linux Reality pod casts, put them all in your MP3 player and listen them over and over.

I have never actually seen a podcast or a tweet or anything related to current events in many years. The picture the media paints is very deceptive and bleak and not healthy for people with chronic depression...

... nonetheless I will find those podcasts... love your handle TroN. Z/Z
