Rejected when trying to reply a post

I have been trying to reply to the post in forum Newbie by Hekdiesel on 09-20-05, 01:42 PM by using both Quick Reply and Post Reply, but I am rejected with the error message

"You cannot post URLs to other sites until you have made at least 3 posts."

I do not understand why it is called another site when it is a post in this forum? How do I reply to the post?

Thanks.

Presumably you're trying to post a link. The feature is there to prevent spam, so try to avoid needing to post a link for the time being. Also, why on Earth do you want to reply to a thread that's quite old, such as that one?

The rule is to avoid people who join, spam and leave. Its easy to post urls, just do something like http ://somesite/somepage.html.

Oh, the link in my signature.

Nylex: Though the thread is old the problem has not gone away. There was no solution to the problem in the thread. I have a solution which I want to post there, so other people can use it.

Thanks for the help.

Fair enough, I guess!

No, not the link in my signature. I found the link, changed it, and it works now.
