reinstall linux on the xp dual-boot PC
 
I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 on the PC dual-boot with XP OS. After tinkering w/ the setting, configuration, now I like to re-install a fresh copy of it.

Do I need to do anything to format the previous install? Clearing out the GRUB boot loader, etc.?

The easyest thing wuold be to just reinstall.Then,there is just one thing you have to do,format a partition where Ubuntu was installed and that option is given during installation.

what's about the GRUB loader in the MBR? How do I clear it out? or it will be overwritten by the new one?
