how to reinstall grub in red hat 5.4 Linux

Easy - google "reinstall grub redhat"

You'll probably come up with something like this:

Quote:
/sbin/grub-install /dev/hda
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...nstalling.html
.. or ..
Quote:
1. Boot into "rescue" mode from install CD

2. Mount your actual filesystem
Quote:
EXAMPLE: chroot /mnt/sysimage
3. Re-install grub to the MBR
Quote:
grub-install /dev/hda
4. Reboot

Substitute your actual boot drive for "/dev/hda" in the examples above.
