Question Rehl 5 No Sound On Vmware


Hello... I'm an XP user switching slowly to Linux! I'm currently using RHEL 5 on a Virtual Machine! However, I can't seem to play any sound files!!! don't even know where to begin!!! HELP!

You mean the files won't open, or when you do you don't hear anything?

What sort of sound card do you have?

By default VMware won't install a sound adapter. Make sure you have one configured for the virtual machine to use.
