Regards iptables

Dear sir
To use iptable i try to build kernel in redhat 7.1 with following command
make menuconfig
in that i enable iptable and disable ipchains
# make dep
# make bzImage
#make modules
but its not creating new kernel image and if i reboot again eroor is eth0 fail to load and my system goes in runlevel 3 before configuring it goes in runlevel 5 can any one help me to sort out this problem

After the make modules you want to remember to do
