Question regarding soft wares installation in RHEL


Hi friends,
can any one help me my Linux OS RHEL5.4 is not registered with RHN. so, yum is not working. so, now how to install the software's without problem with dependencies.
and i need to know how to do installations with localrepos.

Hi,

best option would be to register on RHN. Another option would be to to replace RHEL with an OS that provides free upgrades. Finally, you could migrate to CentOS.

Concur with evo2; either

1. pay for RHEL and use rhn_register
OR
2. use a free version eg Centos
