There a three options (as far as i know):

- You computer doesn't support acpi

- if you have a hyperthreading cpu.. you need to configure grub (default bootloader in Fedora) a bit: add acpi=ht to the kernel boot line in /etc/grub.conf and reboot.

- enable acpi (if it's turned off): chkconfig --level 345 acpi on

thanks for replay,
i am new to linux.
this is my grub.conf file content could u tell me what do with this
file just adding acpi=ht enough and one more what is acpi

# grub.conf generated by anaconda
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /, eg.
# root (hd0,0)
# kernel /boot/vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda1
# initrd /boot/initrd-version.img
title Fedora Core (2.6.9-1.667)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img
