Redirecting e-mail

occasionally I get a message that says "you've got e-mail" when I run a program with cron or a program faults

I would like this e-mail to be directed to my regular e-mail account. How do I accomplish this?

I don't know what Mail Transfer Agent you are using, but you could look into a .forward file. Try creating a file in your home directory with your forwarding email address

echo "" > ~/.forward
You may want to check on the location of where the .forward file should be, but on some systems it is there.
