Redirect not working correctly

I have this in my .htaccess
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^.*$
RewriteRule ^/?$ [R=301,L]
It works okay, except it removes the www. So when someone goes to the domain, it takes them to:

Any idea why?
