Hola,
Pardon for the uber newbie question but I don't have time right now to RTFM.
I installed RedHat 9 and have a cat5 plugged into a Linksys 54g router (no wireless since it seems the wtr54g wireless nic isn't linux compatable. If is is and Im dumb let me know) Linux sees the connection on eth0 and it is active. I have restarted the network service and rebooted, still no internet. What am I missing? the router is dhcp enabled and 5 win2k stations are functioning via wi-fi.
thanks for you time,
-John
How do you have it connected to your cable/dsl modem. You'll probably need a crossover cable, which is a very easy step to overlook. At least for jackasses like me.
